Welcome to the online Archives Catalogue
This is the finding aid for archives and manuscripts in University of Exeter’s Streatham and Tremough Campuses, the Bill Douglas Centre archives and the University College Falmouth collections. There are over 400 collections listed on the catalogue. If you require help to search for them please contact us at the following locations:
Please note that the collections are only available for consultation on the campus cited in the repository column of the hitlist, so if the repository is cited as University College Falmouth or University of Exeter Cornwall Campus you will need to visit the Tremough Campus in Penryn to access the material listed. If you are searching for information on an individual’s archive, look for catalogue entries with the term "Collection" in the "Level" column. These will include a biographical sketch and information on the scope and contents of the archive, together with the extent, i.e. size of the archive (e.g. ‘6 boxes’). Some of the archives are more fully catalogued and will contain descriptions which include sections. These longer finding aids are arranged to reflect different aspects of a person’s life and/or career (e.g. "professional papers", "literary papers", "research papers", "personal papers"). Within these sections, some archives have been further divided into series and files (e.g. "notebooks", "correspondence"). If you are searching for information on an organisation’s archive each catalogue entry listed at "Collection" in the "level" column includes a short introduction on the administrative history of the organisation. Most of these archives are not currently listed in greater detail. More Information about University of Exeter Special Collections More information about the Bill Douglas Collections User Comments
