Admin History | Bill Douglas was a delivery boy, RAF recruit, window dresser and actor before he began his life as a filmmaker. In his mid-thirties he was accepted into the London Film School. He was awarded a grant from the Inner London Education Authority and graduated with a first-class honours in 1971. While enrolled, Douglas created four short films: 'Charlie Chaplin's London', 'Striptease', 'Globe' and 'Come Dancing'. 'Come Dancing' was screened at the National Film Theatre in 1970, an event celebrating the best films produced by the graduating students. |
