2. Blue folder labelled 'Local Notes', including photocopy of picture of 'The ash Yggdrasil'; sheet from 'Exe Vale Heritage Exhibition 1976 on the lunatic asylum; photocopies of several papers of Kingsnympton Overseers of the Poor from 18-19th c.

3. Manila folder labelled 'Paganism', containing research notes, photocopies, newspaper clippings, correspondence (including from H.P.R. Finberg), offprint of 'Notes on the Idol Found at Kingsteignton' by Edward Parfitt (D.A. Transactions, 1877.]; typed and annotated ms of paper, 'Paganism in Christian England' (1950s-1960s)

7. Red folder labelled 'Robert Tooley. 1976', containing a few items of correspondence, typed transcriptions from Holne parish records and a typed ms on 'A Devon Conjurer' (Robert Tooley) (mid 1970s)

8. Orange folder labelled 'West Country Emigrants', containing letters from Rita Pope regarding Hog Island and Tangier Island (Chesapeake/E.Shore Virginia). Also includes clippings on 'Westcountry men abroad' in America, Australia and New Zealand (late 1960s-1970s)

9. Pink folder labelled 'Witches' containing research notes on witches, a few items of correspondence with local recollections, and bibliography on witchcraft; photocopied extract from 1855 The Social History of the Southern Counties (1950s)
