These, as Lady Richmond's note of 17 November 1972 indicates, were sent unsolicited to the Richmonds and were packaged up to be forwarded to the Quakers 'who would I feel know whether to use or destroy.' There is also a file of papers (EUL MS 115/27/1) containing a list of the box contents, a typed letter from the Womens' Campaign for Soviet Jewry (Leeds), a typed letter from Diana Richmond to Manuela Sykes of CAABU, dated 2 February 1972, and accompanied by extracts from Lady Richmond's letters from Jerusalem during 1946-47, in reponse to a letter from Miss Sykes about collecting material on Jerusalem, as well as some typed extracts from the writings of Holman Hunt and a CAABU information sheet on 'Building in Jerusalem' |
