'Les responsabilités de la guerre de palestine' [translated by Richmond as 'Responsibility for the Palestine War'] was first published in 'Correspondence d'Orient. Etudes' Vol.7 (1965), while 'Destruction de Jerusalem' first appeared in the journal Oriente Moderno 53:3 (March 1973) pp.271-80. The folder contains correspondence between Richmond and Christopher Walker regarding her translation work, the eight-page printed translation 'The Current Destruction of Jerusalem', her rough notes on Goichon's work and research, along with some translations of related articles in 'Le Monde', including Pope Paul VI's Apostolic Exhortation on 'The Fate of Christians in the Holy Land' (6 April 1974) and a plan of Old Jerusalem. |
