Items include articles on the animals in the Baghdad Zoo (September 1991), new tourist developments at Al-Sudour in Diyala Province (1988), Abu-Nuwas (1989), Haj Umran (1980), Nineveh (1985), Dohouk (1988), Northern Iraq (1985) and other locations, a colour supplement on Iraq from the Saudi Gazette (12 July 1989), government resolutions on 'touristic' utilities and trade from the Official Gazette (1989), the closure of nightclubs (1986), the game Muheibis, various Baghdad Observer reports on the growth of tourism and new governement initiatives to promote further development, the winter 1984 season in Habbaniya resort, development of Al-Shuweich marsh village as a tourist spot (1985), a large illustrated feature in the Baghdad Observer (May 1983) on 'New Prospects for Tourism in Iraq' reporting on a seven-day programme for international tourist services personnel, along with a copy of the two-page typed programme for this event. There is also an article on co-operation between Iraq and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), along with various UNDP documents supplied directly to Crusoe, his handwritten and typed notes on new hotel construction, more details of the Basra Sheraton opening (1981) and material on the Hotel Nineveh Oberoi at Mosul, built by Indian contractors and blending Iraqi and Indian architectural features.
