TitleProfessional papers of Jonathan Crusoe relating to Iraq and Kuwait
DescriptionThis collection consists of the presscuttings and working notes of Crusoe, created during his career as a journalist in the period 1979-1991. Papers created prior to August 1990 relate mainly to developments within Iraq. Following the invasion of Iraq into Kuwait, all aspects of the war, conditions in both countries, international development and post-war developments are covered.
Admin HistoryJonathan Richard Huthwaite Crusoe, writer, was born in Kuwait in 1953. He was a journalist for the 'Middle East Economic Digest' (MEED), working as a newspaper monitor between 1976 and 1977, writing a column on Kuwait, and specialising in Iraq from 1979-1991. He was killed in a car accident in 1991.
