Title | Manuscript volume marked 'M.S. 11' and entitled 'A pilgrimage to the heavenly Jerusalem' |
Description | Beginning 'Our glorious mother Saint Clare says: Let the Sisters be as pilgrims & strangers...'. A modern note at the front of the manuscript attributes the manuscript to Cicely Cornwalks of the Poor Clares in Rouen, who professed in 1688 and died in 1737. The flyleaf is inscribed 'Helen Flentham Her book' and 'Sion House Lisbon Mocambo', and an inserted page also notes the name: 'Sist[e]r Mary Sacrament [?]Clear [?]Lucy Sion house English Convent the number of the year is 1818'. |
