| Description | Two Years in the Infant School was published in 1938 under the supervision of Enid Blyton. The scheme of work contains eighty four Topics presented as weekly programmes of work to cover the infant school curriculum.
For each Topic there is a large colour illustration and accompanying notes - The Talk (an introduction to the theme for the teacher to give to the pupils), Oral Composition and Language Training, Poems and Jingles, Reading Preparation, Writing, Number, Drawing and Handiwork, Dramatisation, Musical Activities, Games, Stories and Songs.

| Admin History | Enid Blyton (1897-1968), English children's writer, was born in East Dulwich, London and trained as a teacher on a Froebel-based teacher-training course at Ipswich High School in 1916. After completing her training she taught at a boys' prep school in Kent and then worked for four years as a governess in Surrey.
During this time she was also writing and in the early 1920s began to have work published. This included pieces in Teacher's World magazine, eventually leading to a regular column that she did until 1945. Her first novel was published in 1926, and she subsequently had over 700 books published during her lifetime. These included the Famous Five (series beginning in 1942), the Naughtiest Girl in the School - the first series of Blyton's school based books (1940) and Noddy books (1949). |
