In addition to a letter to Ms Watson on 10 August 1982 that explains the background to his planned book 'Morocco through Western Eyes', much of the correspondence is on editorial matters for the first issue of New Arabian Studies which was eventually published by the University of Exeter Press in February 1994, including the draft of a formal two-page statement by the editors explaining why they resigned from the old journal and created a new publication to continue their work. |
