These include annotated drafts of Daniel Varisco's submitted article, 'The Production of Sorghum (Dhurah) in Highland Yemen', (for Arabian Studies VII, 1985), Eric Macro 'Arabia and Austria in the 18th and 19th Centuries' (1993), Madawi Al-Rasheed, 'The Rashidi Dynasty: Political Centralisation among the Shamma of North Arabia' , brown envelopes marked with the surnames of authors - Van Hove, Korotayev, Rodionov, Donaldson, Eagle, Farah, Kozhin - , Hessa al-Rifai, 'Sea Shanties of Kuwait' (for Arabian Studies VII but dated 1983), R.B. Serjeant, 'The Yemeni Coast in 1005/1597: an anonymous note on the fly-leaf of Ibn al-Majawir's 'Tarikh al-Mustabsir' (for Arabian Studies VII, but later published in his 'Society and Trade in South Arabia' [1996]), a marked-up proof of Richard Lawless's 'Recruitment and regulation. Migration for employment of "Adenese" seamen in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries' (New Arabian Studies Vol.2, 1994), a draft of the editorial for Arabian Studies Vol.VII (1985), a hand-drawn table showing the editorial work needing to be done on articles by these and other authors, and twodraft letters from Bidwell on editorial matters, one to Brian Pridham and the other to Suleiman Mousa.
