Hopkins in relation to the 2nd Congress of Arabic and Islamic Studies at Cambridge in August 1964, as well as a few sent to Miss Susan Skilliter regarding the International Congress of Turkish Art (1966 and 1967.) Bidwell was at this time studying for his PhD at Cambridge on a Hayter scholarship under Professor Robert B. Serjeant, and may have been entrusted with handling arrangements for the Congress.
