| Description | This series comprises correspondence with other Bridgettine communities belonging to the Order of the Most Holy Saviour from countries including: Belarus (Grodno), Denmark (Maribo), Estonia (Tallinn), Finland (Turku), Germany (Altomünster), India (Bangalore, Marikunnu, Mysore, Nanthoor, Pallavaram, Premagiri, Puttur, Trivandrum and Vellayambalam), Italy (Assisi, Camaldoli, Farfa, Rome), Mexico (Colima, La Paz, Pueblo, San Pedro de los Pinos, Tijuana and Tecate), the Netherlands (Uden and Weert), Norway (Trondheim), Spain (Azcoitia, Lasarte, Paredes de Nava, Valladolid, Vitoria), Sweden (Falun, Djursholm and Vadstena), Switzerland (Corzoneso and Lugano), the United Kingdom (Birmingham, Holywell and Iver Heath), the United States of America (Darien and Oregon), and Venezuela (Bolivar). Several files of correspondence contain photographs, clippings, and lists of Religious in the Bridgettine communities.
The correspondence has been arranged alphabetically by the name of the religious house. It also includes one series of mixed correspondence from various different Bridgettine houses.

| Arrangement | This correspondence was kept in several different ways by the Bridgettine community of Syon Abbey in the period between 1859 and 2011, including by house, by country, by branch of the order (Medieval, Swedish and Spanish), and by date. The majority of the correspondence has been rearranged by house to reflect the most recent methodology used by the community [c 1969-2011] and to provide ease of access to users. Correspondence has only been separated where the divisions between the different houses has been clearly discernible. Where correspondence has been rearranged, this has been noted in the archivist's note in the catalogue description. The original order of each file has been maintained. |
