EUL MS 389/PROP/1/2/1 - Document regarding the sale to Syon of the property in Mishagen, signed by Van der Neesen, dated 16 March 1567. Folded parchment document with one pendant seal attached. Marked 'No 3' on the back of the document. This document makes reference to: the consul of the city of Antwerp; Herentals; Breda [North Brabant]; Ekeren; Syon brothers and sisters; Nicholas Sander; Sister Isabella Perez; Mother Superior Clara van Mechelen; Clara van Eckelborne; Abbess Catherine [Palmer]; English merchants who live in the city of Antwerp; London, England; temporarily living in Hemstede [Haamstede] in Zeeland; feudal duties, benefactors, donations and alms; the Bishop of Liège; and books owned by the sisters;
EUL MS 389/PROP/1/2/2 - Document regarding Syon's entrance into Mishagen, signed by Ferdinando [Fernando], Duke of Alva and addressed to 'todos a ?qualquiera de los Deputados de los estados de Brabantia sobre las alcavalas' [to all the deputies of the states of Brabantia for the alcabalas (a sales tax)], dated 28 January 1568. The document is transcribed in both Spanish and Latin, and marked 'No 5' on the back of the document;
EUL MS 389/PROP/1/2/3 - Document approving the sale and purchase of the property in Mishagen to Syon, signed by Gerardus a Groesbeeck [Gerard van Groesbeeck, Bishop of Liège and ecclesiastical superior of the Augustinian sisters selling the property], and dated 20 March 1568. The document is marked 'No 6' on the back of the document. This document also makes reference to: Nicholas Sander; Abbess Catherine Palmer; London, England; and Antwerp.
