The deed is between Evan Baillie of Filleigh in the Parish of Chudleigh in the County of Devon and Elizabeth Budd, Sophia Green, Sarah Ann Keene, Mary Agnes Batchelor and Anne Budd, all of Spettisbury [Spetisbury] in the Country of Dorset, spinsters, and is dated 4 May 1896;
- Schedules of deeds for property and land in Chudleigh, including: for Syon Abbey (1818-1908), Lower and Higher Bell Fields (1799-1909), and Chudleigh Woods Meadow (1837-1907);
- Copies of indentures of conveyance concerning land in Chudleigh from Evan Baillie Esquire to Miss Elizabeth Budd, Mary Agnes Batchelor, Sophie Green and Sarah Anne Keene. Also includes letters of agreement from the Bishop of Plymouth, with some relating to a new chapel. Papers in this file are dated 1886-1892;
- Typescript document with extracts of conveyances of land in Chudleigh in 1702, 1855, 1886, 1892 and 1909;
- Typescript document entitled 'Conveyance of Bellfield, Indenture 22 Nov. 1909.';
- Bundle of papers labelled 'all about removing from Chudleigh to Marley', dated 1924-1929. The papers relate to the sale of the community's property in Chudleigh, the purchase of Marley House in South Brent, and the community's relocation from Chudleigh to South Brent in 1925. Comprising correspondence from the Bishop of Plymouth, Buckfast Abbey, and a number of religious communities interested in purchasing the property in Chudleigh and the contents of the house. Also includes some information on the financial management of the property for the new owners, floor plans of the abbey, and sketches of the property;
- Letter from A.C. Loveys & Son to the Lady Abbess regarding a value for sale of the Syon Abbey gardens and grounds in Chudleigh, dated 13 April 1925;
