| Description | Small box of presscuttings, documents and correspondence relating to Kurdish political, military and foreign relations between 1961 and 1975, including papers from various Kurdish groups e.g. Komitey Parezgari Mafi Netewey Kurd, (the Committee for the Defence of the Kurdish People's Rights), the General Representation Abroad of the Kurdish Revolution, the KSSE, the Comite de Solidarite a la Revolution Kurde (C.S.R.K.). There are numerous letters and signed documents written by Ismet Vanly and Dr Kameran Ali Bedir-Khan, replies from Sean MacBride (Secretary-General of the International Commission of Jurists), several detailed documentary reports on massacres and military repression in Iraqi Kurdistan, large French posters on Kurdistan, a letter about the formation of MAK (Movement for Autonomy in Kurdistan) in Lonon on 22 July 1968, a coloured copy of a letter from Shafik Ahmad, representing the Command Council of the Revolution for Iraqi Kurdistan (22 July 1965), and copies of letters in Arabic sent from Iran to the Kurdish resistance in Iraq. |
