The Kurdistan Democratic Union (KDU: Yeketi Dimukrati Kurdistan/al-Ittihad al-Dimuqrati al-Kurdistani) was founded by Ali Sinjari in 1977/78 and joined the KDP in 1993. Documents include a news bulletin (1986), a leaflet 'Reya Yeketiye' (1987), an Arabic press release published in June 1991 to mark the 14th year of the founding of the party and issue no.20 (October 1990) of the KDU periodical Al Sha'lah/Mesxel .
The National Democratic Union of Kurdistan (Yekitiya Netewayî Demokratî Kurdistan, or YNKD) was founded in 1995 by Ghafur Makhmuri - the folder contains a press release issued on 15 November 1995. |
