Title | Papers and books relating to the Powys family's circle of friends |
Description | The Powys Family had a number of friends who were writers in their own right. Sylvia Townsend Warner, novelist and poet, was a particular friend of Theodore Powys. James Hanley, novelist, was primarily John Cowper Powys's friend. Louis Wilkinson, novelist, was a family friend but closest to Llewelyn Powys, along with his second wife, writer Anne Reid. Gamel Woolsey, poet and novelist, was Llewelyn's lover. Huw Menai, poet, was a Welsh friend of John Cowper Powys and Alfred de Kantzow, was a minor poet befriended by John Cowper Powys. This section primarily contains books and articles by, or about, these members of the Powys family's circle of friends.
