| Description | Comprising a small selection of papers created by Professor Andrew Thorpe and Professor Richard Toye of the University of Exeter during the editing process of Cecil Harmsworth's diaries, in preparation for the publication of the book 'Parliament and Politics in the Age of Asquith and Lloyd George. The Diaries of Cecil Harmsworth, MP, 1909-1922' (2016). These papers accompanied the archive when it was deposited with the University of Exeter Special Collections. They include annotated typed transcripts of Cecil Harmsworth's diaries betwen 1901 and 1922, and xerox copies of volumes of 'The New Liberal Review' [1901-1905], edited by Cecil B. Harmsworth and Hildebrand A. Harmsworth. |
