The letter concerns information about Italian universities that the correspondent wishes to be passed on to 'your "author"', presumably meaning Daphne du Maurier. The book includes various notes and translations of Italian words in Daphne du Maurier's handwriting. The year book and letter were presumably used by Daphne du Maurier as research for the novel 'The Flight of the Falcon', which is set in Ruffano, a fictionalised version of the Italian city Urbino. |
