There are significant differences between the early drafts and the final published introduction. Also includes a letter from Sheila Bush [née Hodges, Daphne du Maurier's editor] to Monty Baker-Munton [du Maurier's literary executor] regarding the introduction. The manuscript draft and annotations to the typescript drafts are not in Daphne du Maurier's handwriting, and appear to have been compiled through a combined effort by Christian Browning, Monty Baker-Munton and Sheila Hodges. |
