Description | Various collections relating to the University of Exeter and predecessor bodies, from various parts of University.
Variously held at the 1. University Library (Special Collections) including records transfered from the Modern Records Centre, see 2. below. 2. Modern Records Centre, Northcote House and elsewhere in University.
1. Library print collections (Annual Reports, Southwesterner etc.), deposits listed as MS collections from internal and external sources (including maps), material transferred from former Development and Alumni Office (J Baines), Art Collection (including photographic collections, known as EUL UA/P (listed on CALM)). Other photographs have been transferred by the Design Unit (D Jones and A Pollard) and as yet are unlisted. The collections from internal and external sources deposited prior to 2010 have been given regular MS numbers, and will be merged into UA (some photographic collections have already been merged into UA/P).
Collections added from 2010 onwards have been added to the main archive (EUL UA) and have been given Additional Numbers.

Pre-1970s materials, deposited by S Odell, Senior Assistant Registrar, 1990s, stored separately, but will be merged-in to the substantive archive on full cataloguing.
2. Some post 1970s and pre 1990s materials, including central Senate papers, finance and committee papers, were transferred from central administration by Records Management (rough listed on Excel database). Includes some earlier material, such as estate records.
3. Post 1990 records are managed by Compliance, Governance and Risk, Northcote House. Includes responsibility for: Court, pension scheme, finance, investment, departmental, theses, degree awards, committees and also printed materials such as Gazettes, Annual Reports, calendars, financial statements, graduate lists, Clapp history, 1955 University of Exeter Act, card index of Senate, Court and Council minutes.
