AdminHistoryProduction for the film 'Comrades' began on September 9, 1985 in Dorset. Filming went smoothly until the production moved to Australia later that year. Inclement weather and budget issues were compounded with the director's difficulty in finding locations to suit his purposes. These problems pushed back the production schedule into the new year and principal photography was not completed until January 1986.
