| AdminHistory | 'My Childhood' was conceived by Bill Douglas in the late 1970s while he completed his degree at the London Film School. His original script was titled 'Jamie', and Douglas was unable to fully embrace the film's autobiographical nature until Lindsay Anderson suggested the change to 'My Childhood'. Mamoun Hassan, as head of the BFI Production Board, backed the film. |
