AdminHistoryBill Douglas (1934-1991), filmmaker, was born into extreme poverty in the small mining town of Newcraighall, just outside Edinburgh. The only item he kept from his youth was a bible which is part of the Working Papers. Together, with his friend Peter Jewell, they amassed one of the largest collections of film ephemera.
