| Description | Typescript copy of Wilkinson's 'A sketch of the historical geography of the Trucial Coast', with a letter from Donald Hawley dated 10 August 1961, returning the typescript and declaring it 'the best thing in English of the area which I have yet seen.' Hawley recommended that Wilkinson publish it in a learned society - it appeared in The Geographical Journal (1964), an offprint of which is also in the file. There is also a letter from Father Jean de Menasce O.P. to Albert [Hourani], dated 28 October 1966, which seems to refer to Wilkinson's work. |
