DescriptionThis series comprises material presumably created by or for individual sisters of Syon Abbey, where the sister is not identified by name or the name is unclear. It includes:

- Manuscript card, 20th Century, from 'Sr M. Dominic of the Trinity O.SS.S.', 'Sr M. Gertrude of the Holy Ghost O.SS.S.', S. M. Gabriel', S. M. Michael', and S. M. Teresa' to a sister on her Feast Day [possibly to Sister Mary Katherine Kelly on the Feast Day of St Katherine of Sweden];

- Scrapbook, c 1940s, containing clippings of pictures, recipes, poems, jokes, and clippings. Themes within the scrapbook include: Christmas, the Second World War, animals, history, God, and the Catholic Church [Content Advice: includes some clippings using offensive language and imagery relating to ethnicity];

- Notebook containing notes for the following dates: 1937, 1920, 1922, 1912, 1924, 1903, 1900, and 1908. The owner is not identified in the notebook;

- Notebook, c 1942-1943, containing medical notes on treatments and remedies for a variety of illnesses and health problems. Also includes agricultural notes on vegetables and livestock;

- Notebook containing notes on knitting, crochet, and lace-making, including pattern designs, c late 19th-early 20th century;

- Notebook, 20th Century, containing lists of food items. The name 'Sr M Joseph[?]' is noted in pencil towards the back of the notebook, so it may have been written by Sister Mary Joseph Page or Sister Mary Josephine Faye;

- Manuscript card, 20th Century, from 'Sr M. Dominic of the Trinity O.SS.S.', 'Sr M. Gertrude of the Holy Ghost O.SS.S.', S. M. Gabriel', S. M. Michael', and S. M. Teresa' to a sister on her Feast Day [possibly to Sister Mary Katherine Kelly on the Feast Day of St Katherine of Sweden];

- Notebook entitled 'An account of our visit to Vadstena, written after our return to Syon in 1925'. Written in two hands, possibly by Sister Mary Francis Ellis and Sister Mary Cecilia Coyle, who volunteered to help Mother Elizabeth Hesselblad re-establish the Bridgettine order in Sweden from 1924-1925. Includes some loose inserts;

- Document consisting of letters, cut into shapes and affixed together with pins [possibly to create the shape of an angel?]. The name 'Sister Barbara' [possibly Barbara Green] and 'Sion House' is marked on several of the papers. (c late 18th- early 19th century).
