AdminHistoryStryker is a medical technologies company, producing a wide range of products including orthopaedic implants, surgical equipment, patient handling equipment, emergency care equipment etc.The company was founded in 1941 by Dr. Homer Stryker, an orthopaedic surgeon from Kalamazoo, Michigan, U.S, and was initially called 'The Orginal Frame Company', with the first product for the company being the 'Turing Frame' a mobile patient bed. In 1964 the company changed it's name to the Stryker Corporation. In 1998 Stryker acquired 'Howmedica', the orthopadeic division of Pfizer, this included the Exeter Hip implant, which Stryker still produce in the present day.
