| AdminHistory | Mick Audsley acted as editor for the original (205 minute) cut of 'Comrades'. There was then a second cut of the film created (175 minutes) that was screened at the 1986 London Film Festival which was edited by Mike Ellis, as Channel 4 deemed the first edit too long. However Douglas was not completely happy with this version and recalled Audsley to create a third version which restored eight minutes of deleted footage. This edit was screened at the 1987 Berlin Film Festival and is the version now available (183 minutes). |
