Mamoun Hassan championed the cause and the Production Board approved for shooting to start almost immediately after the release of 'My Childhood' in 1972. Unfortunately in post-production Douglas had many editing issues (including being forcibly removed from the BFI building and taking his cans of film with him) and his relationship with the BFI suffered. |
