AdminHistoryDuring the last years of his life, Bill Douglas struggled to get his work produced. Two of his scripts however, 'Flying Horse' and 'Confessions of a Justified Sinner' (commissioned by Mamoun Hassan), had been acquired by Simon Relph and Hassan respectively. Andrew Noble, a colleague from the University of Strathclyde, was also assisting Douglas in finding financiers for the projects. Unfortunately, neither of these projects were completed before Douglas' death in 1991. This file contains coprrespondence about the projects after Bill Douglas death in June 1991. There is one letter drafted by Bill Douglas before his death - one side is to Andrew Noble regarding Sean Connery's response to 'Justified Sinner' and the other to Simon Relph regarding 'Flying Horse', in both cases informing them that he has now moved to Devon due to his health. Letter from Peter Jewell to Simon Relph after Bill Douglas's funeral touching on possible script revisions to 'Flying Horse' and Simon Relph's reply. Enclosed in Jewell's letter was a letter from Andrew Goodfellow, a student at Strathclyde, praising Douglas's 'Flying Horse' script.
