AdminHistoryTogether, Bill Douglas and Peter Jewell made a number of short home movies before Douglas applied to Film School. Jewell bought Douglas a Super 8 Camera for Christmas in 1966. Through these films you see their experimenting with different techniques, including stop-motion animation and trick photography. There is an increasing professionalism and skill with title cards and credits (made by Bill). Both Douglas and Jewell take on various roles during the making of these films anda number of their neighbours and friends appear in the films. A lot of the films are shot in and around their flat in Archers Street (Soho) which provides insight into Soho during the 1960s.
