AdminHistoryDuring Douglas' time at Strathclyde he was encouraged to work with the students as well as instruct them, this was the inspiration for the film 'The Ring of Truth'. Douglas had received funding for the project from STV and was to produce the short film with his students. Unfortunately, there were doubts about the script and Douglas was unwilling to rewrite the project so the film was abandoned. While at the university Douglas was also invited to chair juries for film festivals and continued searching for funding for 'Confessions of a Justified Sinner' and 'Flying Horse'.
