The papers include typed notes from Henri Goblot with a CV (1966), notes on qanats, a letter from Wilkinson to Melvin O Watterson of Petroleum Development Oman, dated 21 February 1966, notes on the falaj system in Buraimi, typed notes on the Sumail Gap Area, a letter from H.H.Wilson to Wilkinson, 30 May 1967, accompanying an 'Iranian Report' on 'Problems of Deep Wells and Subterranean Canals' (23 pages), handwritten notes on 'Fishing in Abu Dhabi', typed notes (marked 'Confidential') on a pipeline route in Oman, notes on Arabic words peculiar to Oman, a presscutting from The Times (2 August 1968) about the defection of the Aden security chief to join rebels in South Yemen, a handwritten letter from Melvin Watterson to Wilkinson, dated 26 November 1967, accompanying notes on the province (wilayat) of Sur, a handdrawn map showing falaj and extinct falaj around the Wadi Halfain between Fahud and Azaiba in Oman, pencil notes in mosques in Izki, a note on the revision of the Concession Agreement between Petroleum Development Oman and Sultan Said bin Taimur, dated 31 March 1967 and printed on Shell News Service Press Division paper, and a letter from Wilkinson to 'Tom', dated Oxford 2 February 1969, with various research questions, requests for books and so on.
