| AdminHistory | Prompt book originally owned by Peter Goodwin, former Technical Director at the Northcott Theatre. The prompt book, usually known as ‘The Book', was collated by the Stage Manager in rehearsals (usually the Deputy Stage Manager or ‘DSM on the book’) who recorded everything that happened in rehearsals. The ‘book’ was then used during every show for cueing lighting, sound, flys, scene changes, etc. It could also be used by the DSM to prompt, although that was always a last resort. |
