- Bundle of correspondence (c 1840s-1927) relating to the community's property in Rua do Quelhas, including letters concerning Syon Abbey's attempts to help the Dorotheans [religious community of Dorothean sisters who purchased Syon Abbey's convent in Lisbon in 1906] to reclaim their property from the Portuguese government. Also includes typescript copies of the deed of 1906 between Sister Mary Teresa [Agnes] Jocelyn and the Dorothean community. Correspondents include: WIlliam Vaughn, Bishop of Plymouth; Collegio dos Ingeleginhos [English College in Lisbon]; The Vice Consulate of Portugal in Plymouth; Agnes Jocelyn [Sister Mary Teresa, abbess of Syon Abbey]; the Reverend Joseph Parke; G. Barge; Richard Atherton, Edward Tozer of Tozer Whidborne & Dell; and [Baron] Clifford of Ugbrooke, Chudleigh. Also includes details of the legacy bequest of Mrs Catherine Kannen, dated 1853, and a letter to Mrs [Sister Bernard] Eccles [abbess] in Lisbon from '?Misster Prescott Groote, Ormes & Co. of London' relating to 'Sister Anne' and 'Flanders', c 1840s;

- File of correspondence (1861-1977) received by the community after its return to England from exile in Portugal in 1861, relating to property in Lisbon still owned by the community. It includes financial papers relating to property and a translation of the 'deed of procuration' signed before the Portuguese consul in 1900. Correspondents include: Charles Graham (Bishop of Plymouth); William Vaughn (Bishops of Plymouth); the Vice-Consulate of Portugal in Plymouth; Manuel Luiz Paes (Solicitor); Peter Baines; J. Dempsey; Thomas Courtenay of St Scholastica's Abbey, Teignmouth; Louis J. Drury; and the English College in Lisbon;

- One typescript copy letter addressed to 'My Lord' [Bishop ?], dated 06 November 1911 and relating to concerns over ownership of the 'old Lisbon convent', which was purchased from the community by the Dorothean nuns;

- One manuscript draft letter from the Abbess Mary Theresa addressed to 'Rev & dear Father', relating to ownership of property in Lisbon, and making reference to Jesuits, Dorothean nuns and the burial of Syon nuns in the lower cloisters of the Lisbon convent, dated 25 October 1911;

- Two copies of documents relating to procuration and property in Lisbon, including one power of attorney in favour of Revered Father James Singleton dated 1900, and one power of attorney in favour of the Reverend Rector of the English College in Lisbon, dated 1922.
