Description
A miscellaneous collection of manuscripts of published poems arranged in order of first line. Many of the poems are signed and dated, and include some illustrated poems and some written on unusual mediums. Includes 'Do not cling to me thus' a cantata dedicated to Virginia [Maskell] with a personal note to her on the front page signed 'Arab' [Ronald Duncan]. Also includes a manuscript poem 'The earths excited with leaf and labour..' in an envelope marked 'Ms. of Britten for Peace Pledge March' and 'Ms. of poem for Britten'. Some items are outsize.
