Few of the articles have titles or dates, though some include manuscript corrections. The titled articles include 'The Marx Hare', 'The Anatomy of Gaiety', 'Myxamatosis', 'Spivvy Rackets' and 'Confessions of a Festival Organiser. The articles were contributed to a range of publications including Sphere, Argosy, The Evening Standard, The Countryman and Woman's Magazine, and two include rejection letters from Jean Leroy at Pearn, Pollinger and Higham Ltd. The folder also contains press cuttings of four articles by Ronald Duncan; 'Hartland: Why Not Tax the Unproductive Acres?' from Everybody's magazine, 'Hartland' from The Sphere, 'Why Not Grow Your Own' from the Evening Standard, and 'Sabotage' from the Star. |
