1 Invoice of supplies from England destined for York Estate in Jamaica, entitled ‘Invoice of the Cost and Charges on Sundries shipped on Board the Friendship James Smith for Jamaica, on account of Edward Morant Gale’, dated 12 November 1803, London. Examples of some supplies listed include various types of nails, hammers and knives, as well as ‘steel Hoes’, ‘Lamp Black’, ‘4 Handsaw files’, ‘Smiths Bellows’, '4 large and 36 small ‘blankets for Negroes’ and ‘162 Gallons of Lamp Oil’.

Examples of some supplies listed include various types of nails and hammers, ‘Turkey Oil Stone’, ‘4 dozen Handsaw files’, ‘160 Gallons of Lamp Oil’, ‘Port Wine’ and ‘36 small Blankets for Negroes’

3 Invoice of supplies from England [presumably destined for York Estate in Jamaica], entitled ‘Invoice of Cost and Charges on Sundries shipped in the Echo, James Stuart for Jamaica on account of Edward Morant Gale’, dated 11 November 1809, London. The supplies listed closely resemble those of the previous invoices but it notably includes ‘2 dozen Black Lead Crucibles’ followed by a notice that ‘There being no foreign pots in London, to prevent disappointment we have sent English, as near as possible to the sizes ordered’.
