| Description | Photographic supplier's wallet marked 'Aden and Lahej' and containing 20 3" x 4.5" colour prints a well as six postcard-style B&W prints taken at the same occasion, showing a meeting in a room decorated with the PFLO flag and slogans in Arabic and English: 'Revolution of 9th June Part and Parcel of the national Democratic Liberation Movement of the World', 'Let us Reinforce Solidarity with Revolution of Oman and Arabian Gulf' and 'Vietnam, Oman, the Arabian Gulf and Palestine: Several Fronts and One Struggle.' The meeting appears to have taken place in an office in a building in Aden City, there are views of the Crescent Hotel in Steamer Point (now Tawahi) and the Legislative Council building (formerly St Mary's Church) - as well as crowds outside the building, the waterfront and the mountains around Crater. A second wallet, dated 23 May 1973 with Fred Halliday's name on it, contains several strips of 35mm film negatives. |
