| Description | Manuscript letter on one sheet of folded paper. Dated 22nd Sep, of an unspecified year. Powys praises Abell's 'European Venture' and mentions people he knows in Paris or London, including Maurice Browne, Mrs Thomas Hardy and Dorothy Richardson, promising introductions and providing addressed for the latter two. He names other friends and laments his lack of contacts before talkign about his health. Powys mentions his brother Llewellyn, and his wife Alyse [Gregory], are visiting Edna St Vincent Millay and Eugen Boissevain. He also notes that he will be in New York in November for lectures at Columbia and a debate. Includes a brief mention of agoraphobia. |
