| Description | Two BBC Micro Disks with View word-processed data related to tree species and monkey populations on the Zomba Plateau, Malawi, and a third formatted blank disk. [Data has been extracted by the Digital Humanities team and can be accessed on the HumRes Drive. The .dsd files contain BBC Micro double-sided double-density disk images, suitable for loading into a BBC Micro emulator (e.g. BeebEm), and can be viewed using the View word processor on ROM or in software. The .txt files are a simple conversion to plain text, but note that many special characters remain and some formatting may be unreadable. The .scp files contain flux density maps in SuperCard Pro format, readable in a variety of conversion tools. These can be used to recreate the disk on physical media, and record the magnetic flux patterns so may record changes and deleted files as well as the data.] |
