| Title | Exeter hip femoral stem variations |
| Creator Name | Lee, Alan John Clive, (1939-2021), design engineer and inventor of the Exeter hip |
| Description | Five Exeter hip femoral stems, one with a matte finish and two polished. Two of the stems are numbered, one is damaged at the neck, and one is cut in half. The stem that is damaged at the neck shows evidence of the fatigue fractures where the neck of the stem had been overmachined (see examples in red book with x-ray's of it in a patient). One of the stems had head off centre (experimenting with different positioning of head to improve range of motion of leg and hip in the patient). |
