| Description | A4 ring binder containing photographs of sculptures by Ewart Johns dated 1997-1999. The binder contains a brief introduction to Johns' sculptural work by Professor Edward Cowie from Dartington College of Arts, and two copies of an introduction from Johns, alongside a handwritten title page. There are large photographic prints of wood constructions, some of which are named, e.g. ‘Winged Creature’ and ‘Rising Bird’ and dated. Also includes two contact sheets of black and white photographs, a selection of photographic negatives, photographs of Johns with his sculptures or drawing in his studio, and two photographs of Johns’ ‘feelies’, clay sculptural forms to be felt in the hand. A letter from 'John' is inserted with a photograph of Johns' scultpure 'Woodlands' with reference to the sale of the sculpture in 2001. |
