| Description | 'Here we go round the round house' was first published as a pamphlet by Toni Savage, Leicester, in 1976, and was illustrated by Stanley Simmonds. It appeared subsequently in several collections of children's poetry, and was originally conceived as a singing game, inspired by the Round House at Launceston, Cornwall, which was built in c 1830.
