| Description | 'Jonah: a musical morality' was written for the Guildford High School [for Girls] Centenary Concert and was first performed at Guildford Cathedral on 6 Jul 1988, with Jonah sung by David Wilson-Johnston, the narrator by Anthony Rolfe Johnson and the shipmaster by Angus Smith. Causley wrote the verse text/libretto and the music was composed by William Mathias, the conductor of the G H S Musical Society and Orchestra, and onetime professor of music at the University College of North Wales Bangor.
'Jonah' was published by Oxford University Press, Oxford Choral Music, in 1989.
