Research papers and Omani manuscripts of John Craven Wilkinson relating to Oman This collection consists of archival materials relating to Oman. Mainly comprises research notes (including on PDO and Oman), unpublished papers, maps, newscuttings, conference materials and photographs, as well as photocopies and microfilm archival material held in other institutions. Also includes microfilms from the Shell International Petroleum Co. Ltd. (currently unidentified), materials relating to his PhD thesis on the Imamate tradition of Oman, and three modern Omani manuscripts (two of which are currently unidentified). The third manuscript is the original of a book relating to water and tribal settlement at Falaj Malki near Izki, Muscat, Oman (currently unavailable for production and undergoing offsite treatment and digitization).
