<dc:title>Papers relating to the cartulary of a charter roll of Edward IV</dc:title>
<dc:description>File comprising of a transcript in Latin and a translation in English by H[ugh] Ellis of the charter granted by Edward IV in 1465; four typescript pages analysing the charter’s history and content by Sister Cuthberta Welman O.S.B. [presumably of Stanbrook Abbey, where the cartulary appears to have been found]; two typescript pages of extracts from ‘The History of Denham, Bucks’ by Rev. R.H. Lathbury that relate to Ro: Bowyer who copied the charter; and a postcard signed by John Fletcher.

These papers were previously kept in an envelope listing the contents, together with a transcript and translation of a brief of a bishop confirming purchase of property in Mishagen. The envelope has been retained and is enclosed with this file.</dc:description>
