  <dc:description>Mainly comprising correspondence to and from the Bishop of Plymouth, including pastoral and ad clerum letters. The correspondence also includes letters from other members of the clergy and departments within the Plymouth Diocese, including M.I. [Ignatius] Morrissey, Cyril Mahoney, the Plymouth Roman Catholic Diocesan Trustees Registered, and the Plymouth Diocese Department of Finance and Administration. One folder of correspondence contains papers relating to visitations. Also includes one folder of correspondence containing handwritten letters from the Lady Abbess [Sister Mary Teresa Jocelyn] to the Bishop regarding the community's move from Chudleigh to South Brent in 1925.  

Correspondence post 1975 is closed to public inspection.</dc:description>
