  <dc:title>Mixed correspondence with Bridgettine houses, c 1924-1925</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Comprising letters relating to two Syon Sisters - Sister Mary Francis and Sister Mary Cecilia -  who volunteered to help Mother Elizabeth re-establish the Bridgettine order in Sweden from 1924-1925. Several of the letters in this file are typescript transcripts of handwritten letters in EUL MS 389/1/45/9. Included in the file are letters from the abbess of Syon Abbey, Sister Mary Cecilia, Sister Mary Francis, Mother Elizabeth Hesselblad, the Bishop of Plymouth; and the Apostolic Vicariate for Sweden Johannes Ev. Erik Müller. At the back of the file is a typescript four-page account of  the year spent in Sweden, written by Sister Mary Cecilia fifty years later in c 1975. </dc:description>
